Very good mudpuppy!
I threw the name "...lol!

Very good mudpuppy!

I threw the name "Godzilla" in with this one as a spoof of how everyone thought "Cloverfield" was a G film early on.

No, you are right, Abrams works almost exclusively through his Bad Robot production company which is connected to Paramount.

Though weirder things have happened, having him jump ship to go over to Legendary/Warners for "Godzilla 2012" is as likely as me becoming Pope.

You would be surprised at how many people automatically link anything Abrams does monster wise to Godzilla.

I was not the only one who threw in Godzilla with "Super 8".

And they were serious....Ken Hulseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18251290408099991105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3941063564945505857.post-10621320440877209482010-05-06T13:27:09.254-07:002010-05-06T13:27:09.254-07:00It's getting very, very, very confusing by now...It's getting very, very, very confusing by now. I want news on Godzilla 2012 and I want news on Cloverifeld 2 already!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3941063564945505857.post-71323479594207046632010-05-06T12:20:26.539-07:002010-05-06T12:20:26.539-07:00I dunno who the people who think this is Godzilla ...I dunno who the people who think this is Godzilla 2012 are, but they're seriously deluding themselves.

Last I heard, Paramount and J.J. Abrams have no connection to Legendary Pictures.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3941063564945505857.post-10308631980813956352010-05-06T07:26:04.958-07:002010-05-06T07:26:04.958-07:00I'm taking Abrams at his word here... which, o...I'm taking Abrams at his word here... which, of course, makes me extremely disappointed. We all know that the longer we go without a continuation of the CLOVERFIELD saga, the less likely we are to ever get one. While this SUPER 8 project - which is undoubtedly the homage to Steven Spielberg we've been hearing rumors about for a while - sounds great, the fact that it will have no connection to CLOVERFIELD only increases the likeliness that no follow-up to that film will ever reach the screen. I feel a little like a kid on Christmas morning who just opened his big present to find that it's something pretty cool, but not the #1 item on his wish list.

Thankfully, we have the real Godzilla coming in 2012, so Abrams' would-be "American Godzilla" won't be that sorely missed!djkrouskopnoreply@blogger.com
